Paramount in Richland`s development philosophy has been the principal of being a good neighbor with nature. Richland has worked diligently to protect the most enduring natural elements of the land by preserving generous amounts of open space in which wildlife can thrive.
Richland has dedicated to the Center for Natural Lands Management, a non-contiguous 63-acre parcel of valuable natural open space known as Foss Lake.
This attractive local feature is being permanently preserved and protected. Through the development process, much of Arrowood`s valuable habitat will be significantly enlarged and enhanced. Much of the natural open space is wetland and home to several endangered species. The rocky outcrop which crowns the property is also being preserved and enhanced to provide a scenic overview from which panoramic views can be appreciated.
